Money Follows Mission is a structured process designed to help churches and nonprofits realign their mission, strengthen their story, and build sustainable support around what actually matters.
Most organizations don’t have a funding problem.
They have a clarity problem.
When mission is unclear, everything downstream starts to drift.
The message gets diluted.
People disengage.
Support becomes inconsistent.
Money doesn’t fix that. Clarity does.
This is NOT another program, this is for when...You already know something is off. Let’s get honest about it and realign it before exhaustion, drift, and financial pressure deepen.
Money Follows Mission was created out of repeated encounters with faithful leaders who were exhausted by the same pattern: talking about money before being clear about mission. In churches, ministries and nonprofits alike, I watched leaders work harder, fundraise more aggressively and manage budgets more carefully-yet still feel anxious, reactive and stretched thin. What was missing was rarely commitment or competence. What was missing was clarity.
Over time, a conviction became unavoidable: financial strain is often a symptom, not the root problem. When purpose becomes diluted, when priorities multiply, and when leaders stop making disciplined choices, money begins to drive decisions instead of serving them.
Money Follows Mission emerged as a response to that reality.
The framework is built on a simple but demanding belief: mission clarity precedes financial stability. When leaders take the time to discern why they exist in this season, discover what they truly have, determine what matters most, develop resources relationally, and deploy those resources transparently, something shifts. Anxiety gives way to focus. Pressure gives way to trust. And funding begins to align with purpose.
This is not a fundraising technique. It is a “leadership practice”. It is organizational alignment consulting that naturally improves generosity, clarity, engagement, and sustainability.
Whether used in a church, ministry or nonprofit, Money Follows Mission invites leaders to slow down, listen deeply, and lead courageously. It calls organizations away from scarcity thinking and toward disciplined faithfulness. It reframes generosity-not as an emergency response-but as a natural outcome of clarity, credibility, and impact.
My hope is that it will help leaders make clearer, braver, and more faithful decisions about mission and resources. And in my experience, when leaders do that consistently, resources tend to follow. My prayer is that this framework serves leaders who care deeply about impact, integrity, and sustainability-and that it helps organizations lead from purpose rather than pressure.
